HOW TO INCLUDE A
GIFT IN YOUR WILL

DOWNLOAD GUIDE

Your Will reflects who you are, what you care most about and how you want to be remembered.

We invite you to reflect on your legacy and the kind of future you want to support for those who come after. A Will gives you the power to ensure your loved ones are taken of and to encourage the flourishing of Christian contemplative spirituality in Aotearoa, New Zealand.

When preparing your Will, we advise seeking qualified legal advice from a solicitor, the Public Trust Office or a Trustee company such as Perpetual Guardian. The NZ Law Society and your local Citizen's Advice Bureau can help you find a solicitor if you don't already have one.

Your legal advisor can ensure your Will is valid and clearly sets out how your estate is to be distributed according to your wishes and circumstances.

The best way to support SGM in your Will is with a “residual” or “percentage” gift, which retain their value over time. Some people choose to leave a set amount. We gratefully receive such gifts, though please note that inflation may lessen their value over time.

  •     Residual - remainder of your estate after taking care of your loved ones

  •     Percentage - a percentage of the value of your estate

We suggest the following wording:
“I give to Spiritual Growth Ministries Trust (SGM), Registration CC 26037, the residue of my estate
(or--- % of my estate), (or $--) for its general purposes and declare that the official receipt of the Workgroup Convenor or other authorised officer shall be full and sufficient discharge for my Trustees.”
