Every gift - large or small - is received as a precious taonga, reflecting the values and legacy of the giver. It’s deeply satisfying knowing that your contemplative values will live on, to the next generation and beyond, and that you’ve made a very real difference in the lives of those served by SGM.

Sheila Pritchard, a much-loved pioneer in our community, embodied this spirit when she made an end-of-life donation to SGM. Before she died, she gave her permission to share her reasons for doing so:

“SGM has played such a big part in my life. From finding my first spiritual director, to feeling wonderfully at home in the silence of my first retreat. Later, after training as a spiritual director myself (at St Beuno’s in North Wales), I shared in the ministry of SGM retreats and, ultimately, in the training of other spiritual directors. Now I feel like a grandmother, delighting in new generations of contemplative people giving life to SGM in the 21st century. I take joy in knowing my financial gift will plant seeds that will take root and grow into the future.”
