 Born into this light
 Te Ao Marama
 drawing us up....
 Matariki dreams
 Looking back, forward
 and in between

 Connecting the dots
 under the dark of night
 as seven sisters cycle by

 Celestial waka
 doing the rounds
 preparing new ground

 Starmaps in our eyes
 Elevating vision
 from dirt to sky

 Remembering,
 connecting, guiding
 Pacific nations celebrating
Imagining possibilities
Islands at the edge
perched precariously

Wairua pitcher overflowing
celestial and terrestrial
eyes sparkling
As it is in heaven
Matariki dreams
Preparing for the next scene

Long white clouds lifting
No time for drifting
in this turning of the times
Fragments of memories
from the Great Dreamer
who dreamed us all

Rising from the fall
of earthly Adam
to answer heaven’s call
