Kia ora friends,
Each July, Spiritual Growth Ministries invites our community to support our Annual Appeal.
This year, we are inviting you to partner with us in sharing one of the great treasures of the contemplative tradition - spiritual direction.
A resource for this moment
Our latest issue of Refresh is a special 25th anniversary edition dedicated entirely to spiritual direction.
I have a strong sense that this special edition is a real taonga - a legacy resource featuring both respected elders and emerging voices in our contemplative community.
The bumper issue explores what spiritual direction is, why it matters, and how this ministry of listening transforms lives.
Through stories, reflections, poetry and artwork, it offers a gentle invitation to those who are curious, while enriching seasoned practitioners.
We hope this issue will become a resource that is shared widely throughout our communities.
Why we're asking for your help
To help make that possible, SGM has taken a step of faith.
We've expanded this special edition from 50 to 64 pages and produced an additional 1,000 copies.
Your gift will help cover these additional costs and enable us to place copies where they can be most useful—in churches, retreat centres, theological colleges, spiritual direction groups, ministry networks, and into the hands of people who may never have encountered spiritual direction before.
